02 · the school
A school, not a religion.
Mindfulness is universal. It belongs to no religion, culture or tradition. It is the simple ability to become aware: of your thoughts, your emotions, your actions and the people around you.
- What it isA global school of mindfulness and well-being, where you learn, question, reflect and practise. Practical and contemporary, rooted in timeless knowledge.
- What it is notNot a religion. Not a set of rituals you do not understand. Not a belief you have to adopt. Your beliefs stay yours.
- Who it is forA generation that may not want religion but still seeks meaning; may not want rituals but still seeks experience; may question tradition but still seeks truth.
Our purpose is not to tell you what to believe, but to help you discover how to become more aware.
Here is how it unfolds.

Dr. Shashi Dubey
Founder, Awakening
For many years, I have had the privilege of engaging with corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, scientists, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and seekers from around the world. Despite their diverse backgrounds, one question arises repeatedly: How do we live wisely in a world changing faster than ever before?
There comes a moment in every life when we stop asking, “What will the world give me?” and begin asking, “What can I give to the world?” That moment is Awakening.
Awakening: Discovering the Self Beyond the Mind
Ancient wisdom on mindfulness, wellbeing and wise living
Some seek mindfulness, others well-being, purpose, resilience, or meaningful leadership. Increasingly, another question has emerged: As Artificial Intelligence transforms our world, how do we ensure that human consciousness evolves alongside it?
These questions reflect more than the pressures of modern life. They reveal a universal search for clarity amidst complexity, purpose beyond achievement, and inner stability in an age of relentless change. Technology is advancing at an extraordinary pace, reshaping industries and expanding human capability. Yet while we have become more connected than ever before, many remain disconnected from themselves. I believe the future will not be determined solely by the intelligence of machines, but by the wisdom of the people who design, lead, and use them.
Technology can make us more efficient, but only consciousness can make us wiser. Artificial Intelligence enhances capability; mindfulness cultivates awareness; well-being strengthens resilience; and Spiritual Intelligence provides purpose, ethics, and compassion. Together, these are not competing disciplines but complementary dimensions of human development. They represent a new model of leadership—one that combines innovation with humanity, ambition with integrity, and performance with purpose.
It is not a mystical experience but the realization that each of us possesses the power to learn, create, lead, solve problems, and leave the world better than we found it. The greatest transformation begins not by changing our circumstances, but by changing ourselves.
Many spend their lives searching for opportunities while overlooking the greatest opportunity of all—the opportunity to discover themselves. Your greatest assets are not your degree, designation, or salary, but your character, curiosity, discipline, resilience, and commitment to lifelong learning. When you awaken to these strengths, fear gives way to confidence, excuses to responsibility, and comparison to purpose. You no longer strive merely to outperform others; you strive to become a better version of yourself.
The world ahead will reward far more than technical expertise. Organizations will always value people who think independently, solve meaningful problems, collaborate with integrity, and continue learning throughout their lives. Success should never be measured solely by wealth or recognition. True excellence is a form of service. Every ethical decision, every innovation that improves lives, every person you mentor, and every problem you solve strengthens not only your organization but also society itself.
There will be moments of uncertainty, failure, and self-doubt. Welcome them, for they reveal strengths you never knew you possessed. History is shaped not by those who never failed, but by those who refused to stop learning, refused to surrender to adversity, and refused to compromise their values.
As I reflect on my own journey, I have realized that experience becomes truly valuable only when it matures into wisdom—and wisdom fulfils its highest purpose only when it is shared. This is why I believe experienced professionals, educators, entrepreneurs, scientists, artists, public servants, and spiritual seekers have a shared responsibility to mentor, guide, and inspire the next generation. Our youth do not simply need more information; they need perspective, discernment, courage, and examples of lives lived with integrity.
My hope for every young person is simple: awaken to your true potential. Greatness is not reserved for a select few; it is cultivated by ordinary people who commit themselves to extraordinary standards. Find your strength, refine it with discipline, guide it with wisdom, and dedicate it to a purpose greater than yourself. Build a life that brings honor to your family, value to your organization, progress to your nation, and hope to humanity.
The future is not waiting to be discovered—it is waiting to be created. It will be shaped by minds that think clearly, hearts that care deeply, and hands that are willing to serve. The power to shape that future already lives within you. Believe in it. Develop it. Share it generously. And when life has transformed your experience into wisdom, become the light that helps another find the way. For the greatest legacy we can leave is not simply a record of our achievements, but a generation empowered to achieve even more than we did.
